Praying for God-serving men

December 16, 2025

Dear Pastor,

I am a 30 year old woman. I am living with my sister, who is 35. We share a two-bedroom apartment,

My sister and I are Christians, but we do not attend the same church. She goes to a very noisy Pentecostal church and I go to a quiet church. I do not have any children, neither does my sister. I have had proposals from men and my sister has had some too, but these guys are just after the flesh.

My sister and I know that time might be running out on us, so we are saving very hard to buy a house together, or if possible, to buy separate properties.

My father is a businessman. He is a Christian and a wonderful father. My mother is a home-maker. My father did not want my mother to go out and work. He was quite capable of supporting her.

My sister and I do not go out to parties that are wild. No man is allowed to sleep over at our house. We have even been called lesbians by men who cannot have their way with us. We know we are not lesbians. We are involved in church work and we are proud of that.

My sister and I have always said that we would love to marry men who are active in the ministry.

What do you think about that?

A.

Dear A.,

Don't allow what people say about you to get you down. There are many lovely women who are not married. You and your sister are not over the hill as yet. So don't worry about what people say.

Keep on doing well, keep on serving the Lord. He will provide for you.
