Gun and ammunition found in furniture

A 19-year-old woodworker has been hit with firearm charges following an incident on Saturday.

Danville Watt, of Riverside Drive in New Haven, Kingston 20, has been arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition. Reports from the Duhaney Park police are that a team of lawmen conducted an operation at the aforementioned address. A search of the premises was conducted, during which a silver-and-black Taurus revolver loaded with four .38 rounds and a shotgun cartridge were found in a mattress and a couch in the bedroom.

Watt, who was the sole occupier of the bedroom, was immediately taken into custody and charges laid against him. His court date is being finalised.
