Pastor says I have spirit of Jezebel
Dear Pastor,
I am writing today because I need your help. Recently, my boyfriend, his mother and his sister went to church, I didn't have any clothes to wear at the time so I stayed home with our daughter. When they came home, my boyfriend was soaked with olive oil and wasn't speaking to me. His mother wasn't speaking to me either, and his sister kept laughing at me. I kept asking what was the matter.
My boyfriend said that the pastor said that I tied him to me, I don't love him, I don't respect him, and that I am a possessed with the spirit of Jezebel.
He also said that the pastor said that I will cause him to die because we are not meant for each other. We are a wrong match. He claims that he cannot leave me and I am using our daughter to hold him down.
My boyfriend and I are together for five years and our daughter is almost three. I don't know what to do because I really love this man, but now I am in doubt. What should I do?

Dear A.G.,
This pastor should have been able to tell your boyfriend what you used to tie him, and what he should do to untie himself, if he wants to be free. You said 'he came home and he was soaked in olive oil' and the man wasn't speaking to you.
I am afraid that some of these pastors are not endeavouring to keep couples together, but rather to destroy their lives. What he told your boyfriend is a lie. The next thing he is likely to say to him is to pay him to untie both of you from each other. Some of these pastors make a business out of people who are trying to serve the Lord. This doctrine is from the depth of hell.
What you need to do is to pray and tell your boyfriend that your heart is clean, and that you will not have anything to do with that church. Evidently, his mother believes the pastor.
You would rather have your child attend a church where she can receive spiritual guidance. This pastor is iniquitous. My prayers are with you all the way. Read Psalm 37 and be comforted by the words. Also, when you get up in the morning, read Psalm 23 and pray.
I hope this pastor will come to know Christ as his saviour and Lord. I further suggest that you make plans to leave this woman's house.
