St Catherine man charged with murder

Twenty-eight-year-old Christopher Davis, otherwise called 'Teecha' and 'Chris' of West Abbey Place, Cumberland, St Catherine, has been charged with murder following an incident in his community on September 9.

The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Damian Clarke of Torver Circle, Cumberland. Reports from the Portmore police are that about 8:45 p.m., Clarke was about to enter his yard when he was pounced upon by two men who opened gunfire killing him. On September 19, Davis was apprehended and subsequently charged following an interview in the presence of his attorney. In addition to murder, Davis was charged with conspiracy to murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
